History In 1935, the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis established its own missionary organization, known as The Society for the Propagation of the Faith, to administrate and coordinate missionary activities within the Archdiocese and on behalf of Purpose The Center for Mission exists to bridge the Archdiocese with the global mission of Jesus Christ. We continue to promote and coordinate the global mission outreach of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis cooperating with individuals, parishes and more than 1150 dioceses in 120 countries around the world. We help to foster a universal missionary spirit focused on sharing and cross-cultural growth among the Catholic faithful and parishes and also coordinate spiritual and material support for mission activities at home and abroad.
